1.10 Partnership with other Services Policy

Other Services

Our preschool recognises that it is essential to establish positive and effective working relationships with other agencies that are partners of the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board. There is a joint responsibility on all these agencies to share information to ensure the safeguarding of all children.

The preschool is committed to attending and contributing to:

o   Family First Assessments

o   Child in Need Meetings

o   Child Protection Conferences

o   Subsequent Child Protection Meetings

Precious Playdays Preschool are committed to completing a multi-agency report ahead of each child protection conference in a timely manner and ahead of the conference. As per the requirement of the conference, this information will be shared will all relevant agency who form as the team around the child. These agencies are clearly marked on the invitation to the conference. A copy of the multi-agency form can be found in the safeguarding folder. The safeguarding folder can be found in the draw labelled “safeguarding” in the main preschool room.

Partnership with Parents

Precious Playdays is committed to working in partnership with parents/carers to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to support them to understand our statutory responsibilities in this area.

The preschool shares a purpose with parents to educate, keep children safe from harm and have their welfare promoted. We are committed to working with parents positively, openly, and honestly. Precious Playdays will share with parents any concerns we may have about their child unless to do so may place a child at risk of harm. We encourage parents to discuss any concerns they may have with their child’s keyworker or the management team.

Additional concerns

o   In the event additional concerns arise concerning a child, who is already subject of a plan (CIN or CP), please follow the child protection procedure.

o   The designated person will make a referral as per the child protection procedure and inform their social worker directly
